KIRK CHEYNEY, BOARD PRESIDENT

We all have a natural curiosity about the world around us, and what we might find outside of it.  Your young scientist is no exception!  Join us as we delve into the past, the present, the future, the food web, and more!

CHRIS HARMON, BOARD TREASURER

Chris is a software engineer for a medical device company in the Iowa City area. He has over 15 years of experience in creating code and designing systems that can work together through a range of old and new systems designs.

DIANA COLGAN, PhD, BOARD SECRETARY

Diana works as a grant writer for biomedical applications and systems. Here experience with medical technologies, patents, and design elements in different specialties gives her an active and changing perspective on the possibilities of new technology and innovation.

JEFF LARSON

Jeff has helped to create many successful businesses and non-profits in the Creative Corridor for over 20 years. He brought Iowa City its first computer store, helped to start the Yacht Club, and has created many spaces which people in the area enjoy on a daily basis throughout the corridor.

AMOS PETERSEN

Amos is a serial small business starter and is currently pursuing a double degree in finance and engineering at the University of Iowa. His experience includes running a large wireless broadband company in southern Iowa and creating several business startups in the Iowa City area.

STEVE ZIRTZMAN

Steve is a design engineer for a tool and die maker in Cedar Rapids. His experience with sheet metal, design elements of steel, and structural applications makes him understand the full process for design and implementation of new systems. He also is a FTC Robotics coach and Boy Scout Troop leader.

DAVE STUTZMAN

Dave Stutzman grew up in the Iowa City area and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He has worked in the Automotive Industry in Michigan for General Motors for over 17 years.  He is currently a Program Engineering Manager directing a team of over 300 Engineers designing and developing a future Cadillac sedan that will be built and sold globally.
